Publisher description
This small collection of poems in Rosemary for Remembrance relating to the two world wars began after an emotional visit to the D-Day landing sites and surrounding areas in both France and Belgium. It is a personal tribute to those who served in the world wars with each poem relating to an anniversary or personal thoughts after reading and witnessing various battle sites, where so much destruction and loss of life took place, which so often begs the question why and for whose gain? Each poem includes a background to how each poem evolved. It is also an acknowledgement of a long-standing friendship between a French girl and an English girl through a school exchange, encouraged by their respective fathers, who each served in and survived both world wars
