Publisher description
The happy underground kingdom of Meridiam was always the most unassuming of the Seven Kingdoms. People were never truly aware of the powers of its inhabitants, so no one was particularly concerned when the witches and wizards from Meridiam started to mix with ordinary humans and marry. The children of these mixed marriages were contemptuously known as "Mixties", and their existence was practically ignored. However, it wouldn't be long until the whole world would be hearing about them. Although nobody really pays too much attention to Mixty children, Van Dita, Gorin, and the triplets are almost seven years old, the age at which FATUM, the Great Book of Destiny, will grant their powers. Nobody can imagine that the children are to receive some very special powers. Nobody knows that a young Mixty girl will be chosen to reign over the Seven Kingdoms. Nobody even imagines that the forces of evil will come together to try and prevent them from using their magic powers... But what can go wrong? They have Margarita - a reckless magic wand that only grants whatever she pleases, and Buccaneer - a fat, one-eyed cat that isn't even black, but is nonetheless determined to become Meridiam's official cat. They also have the invaluable help of Zas who is always making untimely blunders, and Van Dita who insists on rescuing strange animals - like a small bat that was trapped in an enchanted castle, or a Nosey that was always getting into trouble for being so nosey, or the three Scrungrels, who were created in a laboratory and have some very unusual power - all of whom are eternally grateful to Van Dita... well, some more than others. Is there anything more risky than becoming Queen when nobody wants you to reign? Well, yes, there is... and it won't take the Mixty children long to find out... Fun-filled --and sometimes dangerous-- adventures
