Tony Bartoni learns he is no longer being sought by the police, and leaves the islands to live a normal life in Miami. He recovers, and with little resistance is talked into a drug run with Babe, the crew that was part of the deal with the owner of the sailboat. They become a real team before disaster strikes, and she finishes the trip without him. Tony's criminal associates think he's dead, and he tries to keep it that way. He takes jobs on vessels he believes are unaffiliated with drugs, but is mistaken. In a Central American port he reunites with Babe, who is also hiding from criminal types, and they decide to live together happily ever after, but his past catches up with him
