Each abstract includes a full bibliographical citation and a set of descriptors or identifiers which are listed in the Water Resources Thesaurus (november 1966 edition). Each abstract entry is classified into ten fields and sixty groups similar to the water resources research categories established by the Committee on Water Resources Research of the Federal Council for Science and Technology.
